In Aygrima, everyone fifteen and older must wear a spell-imbued Mask that reveals any traitorous thought about the ruling Autarch. When Mara Holdfast’s Mask, made by her own father, shatters at her Masking ceremony, she is branded a traitor and sent to the mines. Gifted with the rare ability to see and use every color of magic, she joins the rebel unMasked Army and must learn to master a power that may prove as dangerous as the Autarch’s own.
